LED Light Therapy

Treat a wide variety of skin conditions, including sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, dehydration, acne, open pores, blemishes, psoriasis, eczema, and rosacea.

LED light therapy applies beneficial and controlled wavelengths of red or infrared and blue light into the deepest layers of the skin - energising your cells and rejuvenating the skin.

What is the Treatment?

LED light therapy applies beneficial and controlled wavelengths of red or infrared and blue light into the deepest layers of the skin. The treatment energises your cells and rejuvenates the skin. It also clears acne, reduces the appearance of blemishes, reverses the signs of ageing, and accelerates the healing process.

LED light therapy also benefits damaged, diseased, and injured skin cells, returning to its optimal health. It can treat a wide variety of skin conditions, including sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, dehydration, acne, open pores, blemishes, psoriasis, eczema, and rosacea.

How Does It Work?

The skin cells absorb phototherapy that naturally occurs around you. Your skin responds differently to specific wavelengths of red or infrared and blue light. Controlled levels of LED light can benefit your skin by allowing skin cells to absorb light, improve the function of energised cells, and regenerate cells up to 200% faster.

Therapists recommend LED light therapy treatment for people getting a non-surgical facelift, radio frequency, or microdermabrasion facials.

Treatment Time

LED light therapy takes 40 minutes. However, dark skin complexions require more exposure for maximum effectiveness. The therapist will determine the number of treatments you require, based on your age, skin type, and skin condition. For lasting results, maintenance sessions are recommended.

Treatment Cost

LED light therapy costs £49 for adults and £25 for teenagers with 6 sessions for £275.

What to Expect

After your consultation with the therapist, they will ask you to wear protective goggles to prevent the LED light from damaging your eyes. You should not come wearing any makeup or any moisturiser, but if you do, they will ask you to wash it off before they can begin treatment.

They will cleanse and prepare your skin by applying an active serum before beginning treatment. They will use red or infrared light to treat the epidermis, the outer layer of the skin.

The epidermis will absorb light and promote collagen production. Red light also reduces the appearance of wrinkles and lines, reduces inflammation, and improves circulation. Blue light targets the sebaceous glands or oil glands located under your hair follicles.

The oil glands lubricate your skin and hair to prevent dryness. Overactive oil glands can cause oily skin and acne. Blue LED light therapy targets these glands to make them less active and reduce acne breakouts and eliminate the acne-causing bacteria under your skin.

Your therapist will use LED red light in conjunction with red LED light to treat acne, reduce scarring, and promote anti-inflammatory effects. After the treatment, your therapist will apply sunscreen on your face.

Down Time

There is no downtime and you can resume your usual routine after treatment.

Aftercare Advice

There is no aftercare needed because you can immediately apply make up and suitable skincare products on your face, including a sunscreen. You can go out into the sun, both before and after treatment, because sunlight during the treatment is beneficial. Sun exposure will strengthen and replenish your skin and reverse sun damage caused by the UV rays.
